Research & Service (Campaign goal $50,000)

There are many ways research and service are delivered separately at SKC, but there are also unique ways in which they go hand in hand. SKC leverages a variety of local, regional, and national business partnerships that offer significant professional training and exposure for our students. These partnerships result in short-term accelerated skills training, traditional internships, or integrated apprenticeships, all of which strengthen skill sets that lead to career readiness and job placement.

Whether for a new certification or credential or a more immersive internship or practicum collaboration, funds raised through our Research and Service campaign provide administrative support and stipend resources for SKC student experiences in the field. Making a donation to this campaign advances student career preparation in a variety of professional industries such as business management, education, or information technology, as well as technical training for areas like dental assisting, automotive repair, or highway construction that have urgent workforce deficits that SKC students can have an immediate impact in filling.
